A Ukraine Relief delegation recently spent more than ten days in Ukraine, visiting logistics partners, warehouses, and volunteers, as well as meeting with children and families at a cancer hospital, schools, and an orphanage for children with cerebral palsy. The delegation, made up of the charity’s CEO, a trustee, and a philanthropic sponsor, also took part in distributing humanitarian aid during the trip.
Deliveries included a wide range of urgently needed items — from water heaters for the orphanage to vital supplies for hospitals and schools. The delegation also met with a member of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Director of the National Cancer Institute of Ukraine to identify the most effective ways to direct the charity’s support on the ground.

Tragically, during their stay in Kryvyi Rih, the delegation experienced firsthand the dangers faced daily by civilians when a ballistic missile struck the building where they were staying. Seven people were killed in the attack, the brutality of which was witnessed directly by the team. Although the charity’s vehicles were destroyed, much of the aid was salvaged, allowing the mission to continue. In the days that followed, the delegation successfully delivered aid to schools and the orphanage, demonstrating the resilience and determination that drives Ukraine Relief’s work.
