Ukraine Relief has delivered a fully operational Volvo fire engine to the Ukrainian port city of Odessa, strengthening the city’s emergency response capabilities at a critical time. The 2001 Volvo fire engine was formally handed over during a ceremony attended by Odessa’s deputy mayor.
Originally donated to Ukraine Relief by the Port of Mostyn in North Wales, the vehicle has logged just 40,000 miles andremains in excellent working condition. It will be placed into immediate service, providing vital support to Odessa’s first responders as they continue to operate under challenging conditions.
This donation represents a practical and timely contribution to a city that has been particularly hard hit, helping to protect lives, property, and essential infrastructure
